Once you have a Project with at least one Scene created you can begin adding new Shots to your project. You can do this from the New menu in the bottom of the home page, or you can do this from inside of a scene.
If you create a new Shot from the Create New menu, you will be be prompted to select the Project and then Scene you want to create the Shot inside of.

If you choose to create a new Shot inside of a scene you would start by tapping the “Add Shot” button inside the scene view.

After tapping New Shot, you will be presented with the New Shot menu. If you have auto numbering enabled in the settings tab, the Shot Number will be pre-populated for you. Shot Description and Shot Size are optional.

After you have created the shot, you have the option to add many different shot details. Adding a reference image will populate in shot cards listed in a scene, in PDF exports for storyboards and project reports, and the first reference shot in a scene will be used to populate a thumbnail for scene previews.

If you want to add additional details for pre-production or log shot details on the day, you can tap the edit icon in the top right of the screen and enter Edit Shot mode.
Editing individual shots is broken up into seven sections.
The first section contains Basic Information including Planned/Completed Status toggle, Shot Number, Setup Number, Description, Camera Letter, Cast Numbers, and Estimated Time.

In the Shot Composition section you have the option to choose Shot Size, Shot Type, Shot Movement, Camera Angle, and Shot Mood to help communicate your vision.

In the next section you have the option to log technical camera details. When exporting project reports these details are all included for each shot so they can be shared with your post team. These are also great to log in the event you need to re-shoot something or add a pickup shot after the fact, you can easily reference your original settings.
These drop down options are updated regularly based on user feedback. If there is an option you would like added please let us know.

Next up, you have the option to log several notes that might be important for VFX, including Lens Height and Subject Distance. You can switch between imperial and metric measurements in the user settings tab.

After that, you can log Audio Details for your reference, including format, sample rate, channels, mic type, and general notes.

You can also add general notes to a shot to help plan for unique situations like lighting, blocking, etc.

And finally, in the On The Day section you can log Take Count, Circle Take, and Roll/Card Number. Your Circle Take value will show at the top of your completed shot next to the status badge so you can quickly reference which take was your preference after you wrap.
